Popular online bingo brand Foxy Bingo has paid tribute to the late actor Patrick Swayze, who lost his fight for life recently.
Patrick Swayze, who was most famous for his starring roles in the hit Hollywood films Dirty Dancing and Ghost, died in September following a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. As a result, Foxy Bingo decided to pay tribute to the film star and one time teen heart throb, by dedicating their Monday night super prize to his memory. The ‘Love Me Ten-Der’ prize that is currently offered on Monday nights was for one week only dedicated to the memory of the actor.
On the night, there were a large number of Patrick Swayze related prizes that were available to be won. Winners of the bingo game were awarded copies of Patrick Swayze’s autobiography, which is entitled ‘One Last Dance’. The book was written during the last year of the actor’s life, after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just over a year ago. Two copies of the book were given out as prizes. There were other prizes up for grabs too, including DVDs of Patrick Swayze’s most famous films, Dirty Dancing and Ghost. There were also copies of the film Donnie Darko, in which the actor had a role, given away to players. Also offered were two chances for players to see the musical of Dirty Dancing, which is currently showing in London’s West End. The amount of prizes given away seems generous, and it is, especially when it is considered how cheap it was for players to enter the games. None of the games included in the offer cost more than a few pence.
The game ran as a normal bingo game on the site would, and was available to be played between eight o’clock and eleven o’clock on the evening of Monday the twenty eight of September. Tickets for the games started at just one penny, which a great number of Patrick Swayze fans would be willing to pay in order to pay tribute to the legend.
