Bingo players at the Staines Road Gala Bingo club in Hounslow left happy last night as they walked away with a share of a massive £250k jackpot win.

One player won £253,000 playing the popular High Five game, with £3,000 coming from a previous full house bingo game and then the lucky lady also won the £125,000 High Five jackpot, bringing her total winnings to a whopping £128,000.

Lady luck was also on the side of everyone else in the High Five game as they walked away with a share of the other half of the jackpot, with £125,000 being shared out among 32 players who took home nearly £4,000.

One lucky £4k winner, 64-year-old Lynda McNamara said: “I have been going to Gala Hounslow since it opened and was sat in my regular seat very close to the jackpot winner when she shouted ‘house’. We were all so excited for her.

“When we realised that we were all winners too you would have thought there were a thousand people in the room with all the noise. I plan to take my grandchildren to Disneyland, which I never would have been able to afford without this win. It really has been life changing for us all; it’s like a dream come true.”

The General Manager, Rick Espey, said: “The winner has been coming to the club for many years and we were all so excited for her when she shouted ‘house’. The whole club was clapping and the atmosphere was electric.”

The High Five game means that everyone who is playing the game wins some money from the jackpot, which is always a large payout. Players must call ‘house’ on a number 5, which then results in anyone playing the game sharing half of the overall jackpot.

The £253,000 jackpot win was the largest ever won at any Gala Bingo club across the country – looks like Hounslow is a lucky place to be!
