We all know bingo is the greatest game ever, but one plucky mathematician from Cambridge University has calculated that our favourite game actually offers the best odds of winning a millions pounds.
It seems going down to the bingo hall, or logging into your favourite online bingo site could slash the odds of picking up a cool million to 200,000-1!

The research, carried out by Dr Oliver Johnson, worked out the odds of landing a jackpot with a £10 bet placed on various forms of gambling, including the National Lottery, other forms of online gaming and sportsbook bets.

In contrast to the significantly lower bingo odds, the Lotto draw gives you a 1.4m-1 shot at the big bucks, whilst applying and successfully answering all 15 questions on quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire fares even worse – 1.5m-1 if you’d care to put your money where your mouth is.

That means you are over 6 times more likely to win a £1m bingo jackpot than many of the other forms of gambling. It just goes to further qualify what we already know here at UK Bingo News – Bingo is the greatest game around!
