Anyone who caught the first series of Bingo/Lottery hybrid ‘BingoLotto’ which ran on cable channel Virgin 1 recently, will be pleased to know that a second series has been commissioned following a successful debut.
The new series will begin in the Autumn and offer what the producers describe as a “fun and participative TV Game that creates winners live at home and in the studio through its lottery and bingo games”.
BingoLotto is the most well known quiz show in Sweden and has been adapted to the British market by entrepreneur Gert Eklund. The UK version is muted as being a rival to Camelot’s National Lottery game as people can buy BingoLotto game cards from retail stores and play along by tuning into Virgin1 Friday nights.
They also promise to have more retailers on board, so if you had trouble finding a game card last time, you may be in luck.
BingoLotto, which was the highest rated gameshow on Virgin 1 (beating Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Take It or Leave It), is presented by helium-voiced comedian Joe Pasquale and Dancing in Ice winner Suzanne Shaw.
More good news for bingo lovers, and surely only a matter of time before we get a dedicated bingo channel that runs 24/7!
