Traditional bingo calls have been an important aspect of bingo since the early days of the game. Each number from 1-90 has been attributed with one or more calls as a way of reinforcing to bingo players which number has been called. The most famous calls include Two Little Ducks – 22, Two Fat Ladies - 88 and Legs 11. Interestingly, all three of these calls have been assigned their particular names due to the shape that the numbers make.

Just when you thought playing bingo down at the bingo hall was going down the pan, it rises like a Phoenix from the ashes. Literally - from all the fag ash that had to be cleared away when the smoking ban came in last year.

Bingo For Kids
Bingo can be educational for your kids; well that’s what the big wigs at Australian family club, Cardiff Panthers, think.  The club has been encouraging its member’s children to take part in bingo as a school holiday activity, suggesting that it is a great way to get kids learning about numbers!

We all know bingo is the greatest game ever, but one plucky mathematician from Cambridge University has calculated that our favourite game actually offers the best odds of winning a millions pounds.

A new take on an old favourite, or should that be, “Bingo my a*se”!

“Do you like bingo? I think it’s a stupid game,” said a friend of mine when I mentioned I was writing articles for UK Bingo News. However, research has shown that playing bingo can increase your mental agility, which would suggest that the game is anything but stupid.

Views on gambling differ among the many denominations of the Christian church, and so, while certain groups may frown on bingo, others tolerate it, whilst others openly embrace it.

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is approaching, turning thoughts either to love, or the lack thereof. As many bingo enthusiasts know, wherever or however you may choose to play it, the game has far more to offer than the promise of winnings, with many friendships blossoming in bingo halls or online chat rooms. However, bingo can be a source of all kinds of relationships – a little searching reveals all kinds of bingo love opportunities from naughty to nuptial – whatever you’re looking for, it seems!

My impressions of cities in Taiwan: steamy mountain forests, rivers of scooters on the roads, food smells from street vendors clamouring for attention, and….bingo! On my frequent bus trips between the capital Taipei, and Taichung in the middle of the island, I noticed that in every town I passed through there’d be at least one glowing sight – the letters “B-I-N-G-O” lit in giant, coloured bingo balls parading on building facades.
